POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe new neurology physician assistant or nurse practitioner will work in a collaborative environment with an established, integrated care team of physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, medical assistants, and non‑clinical support staff. Providers are supported by highly‑trained clinical assistants and on‑site management in comfortable, modern settings. This includes scribes and staff to perform administrative tasks, ensuring providers can focus solely on patient care.
- Provide routine outpatient neurology care
- Chronic headache management
- Botox treatments
- Oversee patients’ healthcare
- Conduct physical examinations
- Interpret lab tests
- Manage acute or episodic illnesses
- Manage stable chronic illnesses
Providers see a variable (and always manageable) number of patients per day, based upon needs and types of appointments scheduled. The office boasts a robust list of services, ensuring they can effectively treat all neurology conditions and needs. The office uses the Athena Health EHR.
REQUIREMENTS- New York NP or PA license
- Board certification (PA‑C, FNP, etc.)
- DEA certificate
- 1+ year advanced practice experience strongly preferred
- Previous RN or similar neurology experience may be considered
- Botox experience preferred
- Pain management experience preferred
