Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $170,000 – $200,000 per year
A premier Pediatric Long-Term Care Facility in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead its nursing department and oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical care for medically complex pediatric residents.
This is a key leadership position responsible for clinical operations, regulatory compliance, staff development, and maintaining exceptional standards of resident care. The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience in a pediatric long-term care, pediatric rehabilitation, or pediatric skilled nursing environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee all nursing operations within the facility
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing management and clinical staff
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and retention efforts within the nursing department
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social services, and facility leadership to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in survey preparation and regulatory inspections
- Monitor clinical outcomes and implement corrective action plans when necessary
- Develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and best practices
- Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassionate pediatric care
- Active RN license required
- Previous experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or senior nursing leader
- Required experience in Pediatric Long-Term Care, Pediatric Skilled Nursing, or Pediatric Rehabilitation
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey processes
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Experience with quality improvement, clinical operations, and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- $170,000 – $200,000 per year
