About This Role

The Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department at New York-Presbyterian is responsible for independently assessing patient conditions and coordinating multidisciplinary care in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to make a significant impact in emergency medical care.

• Assess patient conditions and arrange multidisciplinary care.
• Collaborate with paramedics, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as induced hypothermia and digital radiology.
• Provide care in a Level I Trauma Center for adult and pediatric patients.
• Organize teams during critical moments in emergency situations.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Experience: At least 1 year of previous nursing experience required;
  Strong Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  
• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS certification required
• Certifications in TNCC, CEN, ENPC, TPEN preferred
