Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. The role involves delivering patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, educating patients and caregivers, and ensuring quality and safety in all aspects of care. The nurse will also contribute to professional development and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Active NYS RN License
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Telemetry and ventilator experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- 2 years of telemetry and critical care experience
- 1 year of travel experience (required for travel positions, not for per diem)
- EPIC experience (highly preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN program
Additional Information:
- Average unit census: 22
- 24 beds in the unit
- Staffing guidelines: 1:5
- 3x12 schedule with weekends required
