Position: Nurse Midwife, Hudson Valley, Westchester County
Location: Van Cortlandtville

Overview

New York-Presbyterian Medical Group is looking for a Nurse Midwife to join a well-established practice located in Northern Westchester County, New York
. New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital is a fully accredited non-profit 128-bed facility offering inpatient and outpatient services and ambulatory care. The hospital has a Level III Neonatal ICU, Level II Nursery and a 14-bed Labor & Delivery Unit.

At New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Women’s Health midwives provide ante- through postpartum care in a supportive, compassionate environment. Midwives are a cornerstone for women through all phases of life, providing prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care for women, including underserved populations.

Midwives practice full-scope care as independent providers while collaborating with physicians to manage higher-risk patients. They may see patients in the office or take call on Labor and Delivery, contributing to a culture of empathy, collaborative decision making, and empowerment for women. This role works in a newly built L&D unit designed with modern technology and patient-centered workflows to support outcomes and provider experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full-scope midwifery care in collaboration with physicians for prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services.
  • See patients in the office and participate in Labor & Delivery coverage as needed.
  • Engage in evidence-based practice, patient education, and shared decision making with patients and families.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team to support high-quality maternal-newborn outcomes.
  • Contribute to a supportive, empathetic care environment and uphold safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Required: Master’s degree in clinical specialty and certification; NYS Midwifery License; BLS through the AHA.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of midwifery experience; bilingual English/Spanish; NRP certification.
Schedule and Compensation

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with one 24-hour shift and two eight-hour office days. Includes weekend and holiday coverage.

Salary range: $160,000 to $180,000
. This range excludes benefits. Per diem opportunities are available at $105.00/hour
