Salaried: $79,040 - $83,200 (depending on experience)
Equivalent Rate: $38‑40/hour
Shift: Full‑Time
Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add a RN In‑Service Coordinator to its team. In this role, you'll lead the education, training, and development of nursing staff and CNA trainees while supporting regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical excellence. - Coordinate and oversee CNA training, orientation, and competency evaluations
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and educational support to nursing assistants, licensed nurses, and other clinical staff
- Conduct skills validations, audits, and follow‑up evaluations to support staff development and regulatory compliance
- Maintain training records, competency documentation, and educational materials
- Lead nurse and CNA onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education programs
- Conduct rounds to provide coaching and identify opportunities for clinical improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, surveys, and staff education activities
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to address training needs, performance concerns, and clinical best practices
- Support QAPI initiatives and promote compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred - Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a long‑term care setting; 3‑5 years preferred
- Strong teaching, coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of staff development, infection control practices, and long‑term care regulations
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support staff development and foster a positive learning environment
- Commitment to professionalism, quality care, and continuous improvement
