Job Description:
Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Full-Time, Weekend Rotation.
The practice of the profession of nursing as a registered professional nurse is defined in New York State as diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being. The HSS Registered Nurse provides and ensures comprehensive nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process and appropriate standards of care in accordance with the philosophy of Hospital for Special Surgery, the Division of Nursing, the ANA Code of Ethics and regulatory bodies.
The Administrative Nursing Coordinator serves as a liaison between hospital administration, nursing leadership and management and the clinical teams. They provide managerial support and oversight to nursing units ensuring day‑to‑day operational standards are met, including identifying patient service requirements, ensuring safe and fiscally responsible unit staffing, maintaining efficient delivery of services, and ensuring safe patient outcomes and adherence to established hospital policies and procedures.

- Expedites and streamlines the Admission and Discharge of patients throughout the continuum of care, fostering efficient throughput.

- BSN from an accredited school of nursing required, Masters in Nursing Preferred
- NYS RN license and registration required
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALs certification required
- 5+ years of nursing experience required
- Applicable clinical leadership or management experience preferred
- Specialty Nurses Certification (RN‑BC, ONC, CCRN, NE‑BC, NEA‑BC) preferred
