Overview
We are a private mental health practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment to patients in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively alongside a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with evidence-based best practices, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- Provide thorough education on diagnoses, medications, and treatment options, ensuring patients are active participants in their own care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation; collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and other providers when clinically appropriate.
- Uphold full compliance with all applicable clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards at all times.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing and board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP.
- Active state NP license in good standing and current DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
- Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills.
- At least three years of experience in outpatient mental health or private practice settings.
- Comfort with managing an independent patient caseload.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) platforms.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
This position is based within our outpatient private mental health practice and offers a flexible schedule to support work-life balance. Care is delivered through a combination of in-person and telehealth appointments, providing variety in how you connect with and serve your patients.
