Associate Director, Nursing- Pediatrics

About This Role

The Associate Director of Nursing for Pediatrics at NYC Health and Hospitals is responsible for overseeing patient care and operational activities within the nursing administration. This role is ideal for experienced nursing leaders who excel in clinical management and administrative responsibilities.

  Full-Time, Day (8:00 A.M – 4:30 P.M)

• Assume 24-hour administrative responsibilities for patient care evaluation and planning.
• Deliver direct nursing care as needed.
• Manage payroll and timekeeping for nursing staff.
• Complete performance appraisals for nursing personnel.
• Oversee recruitment and ordering of unit-specific supplies.
• Maintain records of meeting attendance and minutes.
• Collaborate with Clinical Directors to improve patient care and employee performance.
• Monitor employee performance and compliance with nursing practices.
• Develop and monitor personnel, supply, and equipment budgets.
• Lead structured interdisciplinary rounds and address barriers to care.

• Education:
  
  Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, or equivalent field preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of six years of nursing experience, with four years in a supervisory, teaching, or administrative capacity preferred.

  Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
