RN-Resident Care IP​/WC Educator

Rome Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to lead our Infection Prevention program
, provide staff education
, and support wound care management
. This role is ideal for a proactive nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to improving resident care.

• Lead infection prevention initiatives, including surveillance, reporting, and education, following CDC and NYSDOH protocols.
• Serve as the facility's Antibiotic Stewardship Champion.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver staff education and continuing education programs.
• Support wound care management and participate in weekly wound rounds.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve quality of care and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Provide guidance to staff, mentor new employees, and support competency assessments.

• Current RN license in New York State
  .
• Completion of CDC Nursing Home Infection Prevention training
  .
• Minimum 1 year of nursing home experience
  , including 6 months charge experience
  .
• BSN preferred.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention, nursing standards of care, and long‑term care regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teaching skills.
