About This Role
The Staff Nurse in Ambulatory Surgery at NYC Health and Hospitals provides professional nursing care to patients within the Surgical Prep and Holding unit. This role is ideal for nurses who are skilled in assessing patient needs and implementing effective nursing regimens.
Highlights- Pay: $109,490/year
- Location: New York, NY
- Facility: Harlem Hospital Center
- Department/Unit: SURGICAL PREP AND HOLDING
- Schedule: Full-Time, Day (7:30 A.M – 8:00 P.M)
- Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
- Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate the nursing regimen for assigned patients/clients.
- Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes on patients/clients.
- Interpret and report responses of patients/clients to appropriate members of the health team.
- Participate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan a comprehensive patient care program.
- Determine and assign components of the nursing regimen for allied nursing personnel.
- Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel in patient care.
- Participate in defining, implementing, maintaining, and interpreting standards of nursing practice.
- Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary conferences regarding nursing practice policies.
- Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education and learning experiences.
- Current RN License in New York
