Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Schedule: 40 hours/week

Note:
Circulating experience in Ophthalmology, ENT, and Plastic Surgery required.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join the OR team at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. The RN will provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
• Perform both circulating and scrubbing duties in the operating room.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding the surgical plan of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a positive team environment.

• Active New York State RN License
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• CNOR certification
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Experience with both scrubbing and circulating
• Circulating experience in Ophthalmology, ENT, and Plastic Surgery required
• Scrubbing experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
