• Collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams to mitigate potential for infectious disease.
• Developing infection control risk assessment and plan along with educational programs for staff and patients.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the infection control program and revising as needed.
• Leading annual flu prevention, treatment, and reporting.
• Completing documentation and preparing comprehensive reports.

• Licensed and currently registered as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
• 2 years of post-licensure nursing experience. One year of this experience must have primarily involved the development, implementation, or administration of an infection control program.

• A master's degree in nursing may substitute for one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
• A doctorate in nursing may substitute for two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
• Possession of a current Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certificate issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology may substitute for one year of infection control program experience.

Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 22 ($82,326), an Increase Hiring Rate ($10,852), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000), and Downstate adjustment of $4,000. The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($104,230), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000) and Downstate adjustment of $4,000.
