Patient Care Director – RN – Ambulatory Surgery & IVF – Days

New York, New York. Shift: Day. This is a full-time, on‑site position at New York‑Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

As Patient Care Director, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of our pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑op teams, ensuring high‑quality, compassionate care for a diverse patient population. You will serve as a transformational leader, engaging staff, mentoring, supervising, and evaluating the team to reach their full potential.

• Oversee daily clinical operations of pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑op teams.
• Engage, mentor, supervise, and evaluate staff to promote professional growth.
• Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation, and scheduling.
• Regularly assess unit operations to identify process improvements that enhance the patient experience.
• Act as a change agent, advancing initiatives focused on improving quality and performance.
• Partner with senior leaders to foster a collaborative and continuous‑improvement environment.

• Leadership experience.
• Previous acute care experience in perioperative services.

• Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field (if holding a BSN, masters must be obtained within one year of hire).
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in nursing.
• Current New York State RN licensure (or willingness to obtain NYS licensure).
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
• Board–certified BCLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.

• Salary range: $170,000 – $217,000 per year.
