We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Wound Care to provide specialized care for patients with wounds, ostomies, continence disorders, fistulas, and complex skin conditions. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide patient and staff education, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and promote evidence-based wound care practices.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with complex wounds, fistulas, ostomies, and pressure injuries.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on wound prevention, ostomy management, and continence care.
- Develop and support wound care standards, clinical protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor patient outcomes, document care accurately, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in pressure injury prevention programs, prevalence studies, and nursing quality initiatives.
- Assist with equipment management, including specialty beds and negative pressure wound therapy devices.
- Serve as a clinical resource for wound care best practices and staff education.
- Maintain patient confidentiality while promoting culturally competent, patient-centered care.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited nursing program required.
- Active New York State RN License with NYSED Primary Source Verification required.
- AHA BLS Certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required.
- Previous Wound Care and Colostomy Care experience required.
- One of the following certifications is required: Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (
CWOCN
) - Certified Wound Care Nurse (
CWCN
) - Wound Care Certified (
WCC
)
- Strong knowledge of wound assessment, care planning, patient education, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Shift is 7.5 hrs/Day Shift | Mon - Fri between 7:00 AM-3:30 PM | 37.5 hrs/week (including breaks)

- Pay Range for Local candidates: $71 - $76 per hour
