About This Role

The Associate Director of Nursing Informatics plays a crucial role in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services and education programs within the hospital. This position is ideal for experienced nursing professionals looking to take on leadership responsibilities.

What You'll Do
  • Perform all duties of the Director of Nursing in their absence.
  • Participate in developing philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards of nursing service and education.
  • Assume responsibility for developing and implementing a staffing plan and directing recruitment and selection of personnel.
  • Develop, plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate assigned projects and programs.
  • Assist the Director in preparation of personnel, supply, and equipment budgets for nursing.
  • Plan, direct, organize, and evaluate programs of orientation, training, and continuing education for nursing personnel.
  • Direct the evaluation of personnel performance.
  • Develop and maintain sound relationships with community, labor, and professional groups for new nursing programs and policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of nursing service.
  • Assess nursing services by making rounds, conducting chart reviews, and evaluating patient care.
Requirements

Licenses &

Certifications:

  • Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State

Experience:

  • Minimum of six years of satisfactory nursing experience, with four years in a supervisory, teaching, or administrative capacity (if holding a Master's Degree)
  • Minimum of seven years of satisfactory nursing experience, with five years in a supervisory or teaching capacity (if holding a Baccalaureate Degree)
