Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract RN Labor and Delivery nurse for a local contract nursing job in New York, New York.

• Categories patients appropriately.
• Applies external fetal monitor and interprets fetal heart tracing and uterine activity.
• Implements interventions based on fetal heart rate pattern and maternal status during labor.
• Identifies emergency situations and notifies provider.
• Administers medication per the five rights of safety, infection control guidelines or provider orders.
• Screens patients for pain during initial assessment and reassesses per guidelines.

• At least 2 full years of mother‑baby RN experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current RN license in the state of New York.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & NRP certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Fetal Monitoring Certificate Preferred.
• EPIC experience highly preferred.
