Overview
Morris Heights Health Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Women’s Health team.
This role will provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients across the prenatal, postnatal, interconceptual, and well-woman care continuum. The ideal candidate is committed to culturally competent, evidence-based care and is passionate about supporting women and families through every stage of reproductive health.
Responsibilities- Providing antepartum care, including initial assessments, physical and pelvic examinations, prenatal visits, patient education, and follow-up care
- Collaborating with obstetricians and the perinatal care team to identify and manage medical or obstetrical concerns
- Providing well-woman gynecological care, family planning services, and interconceptual care
- Educating patients on prenatal health, nutrition, postnatal care, and overall wellness
- Supporting group education and patient-centered care initiatives
- Maintaining complete, timely, and accurate documentation
- Graduate of an approved nurse midwifery, midwifery, or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program
- Licensed as a Midwife or Nurse Practitioner in New York State
- Certification through the American College of Nurse-Midwives or applicable national certifying body
- BCLS certification required
- Experience preferred, but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
