Pratt Health Services is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a college health clinic serving a diverse student population. Working Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, the LPN will support Nurse Practitioners by triaging students, administering medications and immunizations (including MMR, Tdap, flu), performing point-of-care testing, maintaining accurate EHR documentation, and assisting with daily clinical operations.
The role also includes reviewing student health and immunization records, health insurance navigation, clinical administrative support tasks, managing clinical supplies, providing health education, and participating in campus wellness initiatives and seasonal vaccination clinics. Candidates must hold current LPN licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and have a minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience; experience in student health, ambulatory care, or with adolescent/young adult populations is preferred.
- Triage and provide nursing care to students in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Administer medications, immunizations (MMR, Tdap, influenza), PPD testing, and perform point-of-care testing within LPN scope of practice
- Assist with patient intake, rooming, and discharge
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Review student health and immunization records for compliance
- Manage clinical supplies, vaccine inventory, and temperature logs
- Provide health education on common illnesses, preventive care, STIs, and contraception
- Support student health insurance inquiries and administrative processes
- Participate in campus outreach events and seasonal vaccination clinics (occasional evenings/weekends)
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Current, unrestricted LPN licensure
- Current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct patient care experience
- Associate degree
- Experience in student health, ambulatory care, urgent care, or medical-surgical settings
- Experience working with adolescent or young adult populations
- Strong clinical and triage skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume clinical environment
- Commitment to patient advocacy, confidentiality, and culturally responsive care
