The Assistant Head Nurse in Pediatrics will direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients in the Pediatric Inpatient Unit. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to take on leadership responsibilities in a dynamic healthcare environment.

  Full-Time, Day (7:00 A.M – 7:30 P.M)

• Direct the development and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients.
• Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes.
• Interpret and report patient responses to the health team.
• Participate in planning comprehensive patient care programs with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assign components of the nursing regimen to allied nursing personnel.
• Provide teaching and guidance to allied nursing personnel.
• Participate in defining and maintaining standards of nursing practice.
• Conduct conferences to develop nursing care plans and promote staff development.

Experience: Experience as an Assistant Head Nurse preferred.

Licenses &

Certifications:

Current RN License in New York State.
