The Clinical Research Nurse I - Oncology at NYU Langone Health is responsible for advocating for patients enrolled in oncology clinical trials while ensuring compliance with research protocols. • Collaborate with healthcare colleagues and physicians using the Ambulatory Care Practice Model.
• Conduct thorough research screening visits for potential trial participants per protocol requirements.
• Collaborate with investigators to recruit, enroll, and retain patients on clinical trials.
• Evaluate patient eligibility for specific studies in collaboration with investigators.
• Oversee the safe conduct of study treatment visits per protocol.
• Provide thorough explanations of trials and obtain Informed Consent from patients.
• Document research visits, Adverse Events, and Concomitant Medications in compliance with policies.
• Support the Informed Consent process with non-English speaking individuals.
• Participate in feasibility meetings and communicate potential barriers to management.
• Provide clinical education to patients regarding their disease process and treatment.

• RN/BSN required

• Minimum of 1+ years nursing experience in oncology research nursing or oncology nursing

• Current New York RN License
• BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification through ONS required within the first year
