As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play an essential role in helping residents maintain comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life each day.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance
- Provide compassionate, respectful care while promoting resident dignity and independence
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff
- Maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
- Encourage participation in recreational and social activities to enhance residents’ well-being
- Keep resident rooms, equipment, and common areas clean and organized
- Follow infection control procedures, safety guidelines, and facility policies at all times
- Accurately document care provided and resident observations
- Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident needs and concerns
- Collaborate with nursing staff and fellow caregivers to ensure exceptional resident care and satisfaction
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New York
- Previous long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
