The Assistant Nurse Manager for Patient Care in Orthopedics oversees team members and patient care activities during assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional environment.

• Location: New York, NY
• Schedule: Full-Time, Evening shift

• Manage and lead team members, operations, and patient care activities within a patient care unit during assigned shift.
• Collaborate with team members and nursing management in developing methods and techniques for patient care.
• Communicate, build consensus, and guide team members toward achieving department objectives.
• Promote and maintain high-quality patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Create a professional work environment that encourages respect, engagement, accountability, and optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide direction and guidance to patient care unit team members during assigned shift.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide input into hiring, promotions, and corrective actions.
• Educate team members in new and existing department procedures and systems.
• Ensure adherence to the established care delivery model and standards of practice.
• Facilitate compliance with regulations and standards.

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Experience:
  • 4-6 years of nursing experience required.
  • 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required.

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
  • Specialized certifications as needed.
