About This Role

The Head Nurse-Critical Care position involves directing the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients in the MED/SURG INTENSIVE CARE unit. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to lead and enhance patient care in a dynamic environment.

• Pay: $112,776/year
• Location: Manhattan, NY
• Facility: Bellevue
• Department/Unit: MED/SURG INTENSIVE CARE 10WN
• Schedule: Full-Time, Day (7:00 A.M – 5:30 P.M)

• Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients.
• Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care.
• Interpret and report patient responses to appropriate health team members.
• Participate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan comprehensive patient care.
• Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel.
• Participate in defining and maintaining standards of nursing practice.
• Conduct conferences to develop nursing care plans and promote staff development.
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education and learning experiences.

  Certifications:
  
  A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Experience: One (1) year of experience as a registered nurse.
