The Head Nurse-Psychiatry ER will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients in the emergency room, ensuring high-quality care and effective team collaboration.

  Full-Time, Day shift (8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.M)

• Direct the development and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients.
• Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes.
• Interpret and report patient responses to the health team.
• Participate in planning comprehensive patient care programs with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assign components of the nursing regimen to allied nursing personnel.
• Provide teaching and guidance to allied nursing personnel.
• Participate in defining and maintaining nursing practice standards.
• Conduct conferences to develop nursing care plans and promote staff development.

• Experience as a Head Nurse preferred.

• Current New York State RN License required.

• Annual education differential based on degree:
  Bachelors in allied health discipline = $900
• Annual education differential based on degree:
  Masters in allied health discipline = $1,200
• Annual education differential based on degree:
  Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) = $1,800
• Annual education differential based on degree:
  Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) = $2,000
• Annual education differential based on degree:
  Doctorate in Education, Nursing Practice or PhD in Nursing (DNP) = $2,500
• Annual certification differential ranging from $1,878 up to $4,878 for recognized certifications.
• Annual nursing experience differential ranging from $1,042 up to $8,645 for up to 10 years of experience.
