About This Role
The Supervisor of Nurses in Behavioral Health Services at NYC Health and Hospitals is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, focusing on diagnosing and treating health problems through various nursing methods.
Highlights- Pay: $118,749/year
- Location: Brooklyn, NY
- Facility: Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center
- Department/Unit: INPATIENT BEHAVIOR HEALTH 5500
- Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift (7:30 A.M – 4:00 P.M)
- Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
- Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate the nursing regimen for assigned patients/clients.
- Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes on patients/clients.
- Interpret and report responses of patients/clients to appropriate members of the health team.
- Participate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan a comprehensive patient care program.
- Determine and assign components of the nursing regimen for allied nursing personnel.
- Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel in patient care.
- Participate in defining, implementing, maintaining, and interpreting standards of nursing practice.
- Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary conferences regarding nursing practice policies.
- Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education and learning experiences.
- A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- 3 years of experience as a registered nurse required.
