Job Details
  • Provide rapid assessment, triage, and treatment to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions.
  • RN must be comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize patients and deliver critical care.
  • Perform rapid triage using evidence-based protocols
  • Prioritize patients based on severity of condition
  • Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments
  • Continuously reassess patient status and adjust care accordingly
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products
  • Initiate life-saving interventions (CPR, ACLS protocols, defibrillation)
  • Assist with emergency procedures (intubation, chest tubes, central lines)
  • Manage trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and critical care cases
  • Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
  • Recognize early signs of deterioration and respond immediately
  • Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and technology
  • Work closely with physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and specialists
  • Provide clear handoff reports (SBAR format)
  • Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Act as patient advocate in high-stress situations
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EMR
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and hospital standards
  • Provide discharge instructions and education on medications, follow-up care, and warning signs
  • Offer emotional support to patients and families during crises
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and PPE use
  • Respond to mass casualty incidents and disaster situations

Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience (ER preferred)
