Description:
The LPN/LVN position requires a dedicated professional to provide nursing care in a long-term care environment. The role involves managing a patient ratio of up to 1:10. Every other weekend availability is required. The candidate will be expected to float within their skill set. This position includes responsibilities such as obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG, assessing and managing pain, and contributing to behavior management strategies.
Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills to report changes in patient status to the RN or MD. The role will also involve monitoring vital signs and implementing pressure ulcer assessment and prevention strategies. Qualified candidates will have previous charge experience and travel experience is preferred. The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team is essential. Candidates should be prepared to provide care to adult and geriatric populations.
Additional skills required include managing mood disorders and adhering to seclusion protocols and procedures. The facility requires flexibility and a commitment to patient-focused care.
