Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Part Time

This position requires availability to start on a Tuesday or Thursday orientation for full shifts. The schedule includes part-time D/E rotational shifts (2 shifts or 3 shifts rotational biweekly).

Under the direction of the licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs both direct and indirect designated resident care within the defined scope of practice. The CNA must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver age-appropriate care to both adult and geriatric patients in their assigned unit.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in the care plan, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
• Maintain resident safety by promptly addressing call lights and alarms, and ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment function.
• Support residents' nutritional needs through meal delivery, preparation, and honoring preferences while documenting appropriately.
• Facilitate rehabilitation needs, including mobility assistance and proper body alignment, in accordance with the established care plan.
• Report resident rights, refusals, and changes in physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or RQI (required)
• One (1) year of previous experience in long-term care (LTC) or as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) (required)
