Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Part Time Nights
Must be available for full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday. This is a part-time position requiring 2 shifts one week and 3 shifts the following week, including every other weekend (EOW).
Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope defined by certification. The CNA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients. Additionally, the individual will assess data reflective of patient status and interpret information needed to identify patient requirements relative to age-specific needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in the plan of care, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Maintain residents' environment and safety, responding promptly to call lights and alarms, and following protocols for cleanliness and safety measures.
- Meet residents' nutritional needs by delivering meals and assisting with feeding in accordance with individual preferences.
- Address residents' rehabilitative needs, including range of motion exercises, ambulation, and proper body alignment.
- Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner, along with any changes in their physical or emotional status.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- New York State Nursing Assistant Certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/RQI) required.
- One (1) year of previous long-term care (LTC) experience necessary.
