Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Full Time

Full-time, Day/Evening shift variables, scheduled as needed by client (7.5-hour shifts) + Every weekend.

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification. The CNA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the assigned unit. This position involves assessing patient data and providing care needed by adult and geriatric patient groups.

Meet the residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in the plan of care, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and elimination/toileting needs.

Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the resident environment, respond to call lights, and monitor for malfunctioning equipment.

Ensure residents' nutritional needs are met as specified in the care plan, including meal delivery and adaptations for feeding assistance.

Implement rehabilitative needs as outlined in the plan of care, including range of motion exercises and proper body alignment.

Report resident rights, refusals, and concerns to nursing staff timely, and identify changes in resident status and report to Charge Nurse promptly.

NYS Nursing Assistant Certification (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI) (Required)

One (1) year of previous Long-Term Care (LTC) experience (Required)
