American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Long-Term Care position requiring a NY RN license and at least 1 year of LTC/skilled nursing experience.

• Long-Term Care unit within a state/government-run facility offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
• 300-bed facility caring for an Alzheimer's and Dementia patient population
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:18-20
• Night shift, 5x8 hours, working every other weekend
• 40 hours per week with shifts beginning 15 minutes early and ending 15 minutes late
• Uses Point Click Care  (PCC) charting system
• New start dates occur every 2 weeks based on orientation schedule
• No floating between units required
• Overtime is not available at this facility

• Active NY State RN license required at time of consideration with no license actions allowed
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience required
• Must pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Must be an American citizen;
  Canadian citizens cannot be accepted
• Strong attendance and punctuality record required
• Proof of license required at time of consideration

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and perform accurate medication passes
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition and complete timely, accurate documentation
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies
• Supervise CNAs on assigned units
• Attire consists of any solid-colored scrubs with closed-toe shoes
• Free parking is available on-site
• Once offered, shift and schedule cannot be changed
• RTO must be requested and approved prior to offer acceptance; holiday RTO will not be approved after starting and must be arranged directly with the facility
• Cannot take every holiday off
• Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours notice
• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks and cannot be missed
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are accepted
• Compliance process typically takes 1.5-2 weeks
• Clinicians must complete required training modules within 3 days prior to assignment start
