American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care position requiring a NY State license and at least 1 year of LTC/Skilled Nursing experience.

• /government long-term care center offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
• Long-Term Care unit serving an Alzheimer's and Dementia patient population
• 300-bed facility with a patient ratio of 1:18-20
• Evening shift, 8 hours, 5 days per week (2:45 PM - 11:15 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• 40 hours per week with no overtime available at this center
• PCC (Point Click Care) charting system used, though experience is not required for consideration
• Orientation and start dates occur every 2 weeks and cannot be missed
• No floating between units required

• Active NY State RN license required at time of consideration with no license hits allowed
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing experience required
• Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
• Must be an American citizen;
  Canadian citizens cannot be accepted at this center
• Strong attendance and punctuality record required
• Proof of license required at time of consideration

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and perform accurate medication passes
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Supervise CNAs on assigned units
• Shifts begin 15 minutes early and end 15 minutes late to allow for proper handoff
• Scrub attire is any solid color with closed-toe shoes required
• Free parking is available on-site
• Clinicians must complete required Relias training modules no later than 3 days prior to assignment start
• RTO must be requested and approved at the time of consideration; holiday RTO will not be approved and must be arranged directly with the center after starting
• Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours' notice
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Background check hits will be accepted, though license hits are not permitted
