American Traveler is hiring a Cart RN for a Long-Term Care unit requiring an active NY RN license and at least 1 year of LTC/skilled nursing experience.
Details- Long-Term Care (LTC) unit within a state/government-run skilled nursing and rehabilitation center
- 300-bed facility with patient ratios of approximately 1:18-20
- Cares for an Alzheimer's and Dementia patient population
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (6:45am-3:15pm), 40 hours per week
- Every other weekend required upon center request
- No floating between units required
- Charting is done using Point Click Care (PCC), though experience is not required for submission
- Shift cannot be changed once offered
- Active NY RN license required, with no license disciplinary actions allowed
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of LTC or Skilled Nursing experience required
- Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation
- Must be an American citizen;
Canadian citizens cannot be accepted - Strong attendance and punctuality required
- Proof of license required at time of consideration
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and perform medication passes accurately and safely
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies
- Supervise CNAs on assigned units
- Scrub attire can be any solid color with closed-toe shoes required
- Free parking is available on-site
- Orientation occurs every 2 weeks and cannot be missed
- Relias training modules must be completed no later than 3 days prior to assignment start date
- RTO must be requested and approved at time of consideration; RTO requests will not be approved after offer, and holiday RTO must be arranged directly with the center after starting
- Call-outs must be reported with more than 24 hours advance notice
- Accepts first-time travelers
- Accepts local candidates
- Overtime is not available at this center and would need case-by-case approval while on assignment
