Endoscopy ​/ GI Registered Nurse (RN

Job Description

We are seeking per diem Endoscopy / GI Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced endoscopy unit. This role is ideal for nurses who are confident in procedural care, patient monitoring, and supporting GI procedures from pre-op through recovery.

What You’ll Do

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing GI and endoscopic procedures
• Assist with pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure recovery
• Perform IV insertion and monitor patients receiving moderate/conscious sedation
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, and patient response throughout procedures
• Support physicians during procedures such as EGD and colonoscopy
• Ensure proper documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and endoscopy team members to ensure safe, efficient care

Schedule

• 630a, 830a, 7a (8 hour shifts)
• Fulll Time- 5 shifts a week (procedural hours vary by facility)
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension depending on performance and census

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)
• Endoscopy or GI nursing experience required
• Proficiency with IV insertion and patient monitoring
• BLS required
  ; ACLS preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and documentation skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with moderate or conscious sedation
• Pre-op, PACU, or procedural nursing background
