CNA Position in Long-Term Care
Full-time CNA position on night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Every other weekend and holiday are required. Candidates must possess a Client Nursing Assistant Certification. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting is required. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living needs such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care per care plan.
Maintain resident safety and environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, preventing falls, and cleaning the unit. Support residents with meals by delivering trays, helping with feeding, using adaptive equipment, and honoring food preferences. Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs such as range of motion exercises, walking, transfers, proper positioning, and the use of aids. Take and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
Measure and record weight, intake, and output. Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents. Help with residents' social and emotional needs through interaction and companionship. Maintain confidentiality and residents' rights at all times. Promptly report resident concerns, changes, or refusals to the nurse. Complete all required documentation in a timely manner per protocol. Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated.
Required tasks may lead to contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
