Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care

CNA – Nursing Assistant

Must stay through January, must be available for full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Contract Weeks: 25

Requirements:

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification Required
• BLS (AHA/RQI)
• One (1) Year of previous long-term care experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities (ADLs) as outlined in the care plan, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain the residents' environment and safety, including responding to call lights and alarms promptly.
• Support residents with their nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding assistance as necessary.
• Facilitate rehabilitative needs such as range of motion and proper body alignment.
• Report residents' rights, concerns, and changes in their physical or emotional status to the supervising nurse promptly.

Compliance / Notes:

Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
