Registered Nurse 1 Psychiatric (NY HELPS) – Hutchings Psychiatric Center, Outpatient Clinic
Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC), a joint‑commission accredited facility in Syracuse, is recruiting Registered Nurses to join its outpatient clinic nursing team. Positions are available on day, evening, and night shifts, with alternate weekends. No prior psychiatric experience is required.
Responsibilities- Coordinating and providing nursing care
- Conducting nursing assessments
- Preparing, implementing, and modifying nursing care plans
- Providing health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals and families
- Implementing infection control protocols and procedures
- Observing and recording patients’ symptoms and care; reporting responses to medications or changes in health
Registered Nurse 1 Psychiatric under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program, holding a valid New York State RN license and registration. Candidates may also be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they meet the required service criteria.
