- Provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff as needed.
- Assess and treat student health concerns, including minor injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with school policies.
- Maintain accurate health records for all students, including immunization records, physical exams, and any chronic health conditions.
- Monitor student health and wellness, conducting routine screenings (e.g., vision, hearing, etc.) and making referrals as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school administrators to develop and implement individual health care plans for students with special health needs.
- Educate students and staff on health topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal health regulations and guidelines.
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to students as needed.
- Stay updated on medical best practices, school health trends, and legal requirements.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New York State.
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
