Location: New York

The RN Nursing Supervisor oversees nursing and direct care staff within an ICF/OPWDD-certified residential programs. This role ensures high-quality nursing care, compliance with healthcare plans and regulations, accurate documentation, medication and medical supply management, and effective coordination of medical services for individuals receiving care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise RNs, LPNs, and Direct Care Counselors and monitor delegated clinical duties.
  • Ensure healthcare plans, treatments, and nursing procedures are implemented accurately and safely.
  • Develop nursing schedules and ensure appropriate staffing for all shifts.
  • Monitor documentation, medication management, medical supplies, equipment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate physician appointments, transportation, hospital visits, and other healthcare needs.
  • Evaluate care plans and outcomes and communicate updates with individuals, families, caregivers, and service providers.
  • Conduct nursing meetings, staff training, conferences, and ongoing competency monitoring.
  • Collaborate with physicians, Nurse Administration, residential staff, and other providers regarding complex medical needs.
  • Attend ISP meetings and support required clinical and regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, therapeutic, and professional residential environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare resources, nursing standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days as needed.
  • Commitment to agency policies, corporate compliance, mandatory reporting, and applicable NYS and federal regulations.
