Critical Care/ICU Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner, Full Time Independent Contractor (1099)- unmatched earning potential Nassau and Suffolk County, New York
Our private Critical Care practice is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join our growing team providing ICU coverage throughout Long Island.
This is not a staffing agency! We are a long-term staffing partner of multiple hospitals across different health systems on Long Island.
Unlike many traditional employed APP positions, our providers function with a high degree of autonomy while working in conjunction with experienced intensivists in collaborative ICU environments. We believe advanced practice providers should practice at the top of their license, make meaningful clinical decisions, and be rewarded accordingly.
- Primarily nights, with opportunity for day shifts
- 12 hour shifts (7-7)
- Competitive hourly shift pay + professional fee revenue-sharing

- Independently evaluate and manage critically ill adult patients
- Perform comprehensive ICU admissions and ongoing management
- Respond to medical emergencies and rapid clinical deterioration
- Perform Critical Care procedures consistent with training and hospital credentialing
- Collaborate closely with intensivists, consultants, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Complete timely, accurate documentation supporting high-quality patient care
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensed (or eligible) in New York
- National certification
- 1-2+ years of Critical Care experience
- Candidates with strong experience in other acute care medical or surgical specialties who are committed to developing a career in Critical Care are encouraged to apply.
