About This Role

The Assistant Manager, Patient Care-Endoscopy at Northwell Health is responsible for managing team members and operations within a patient care unit during assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality patient and family-centered care.

• Location: Staten Island, NY
• Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift

• Manage and lead team members, operations, and patient care activities within a patient care unit during assigned shift.
• Collaborate with team members and nursing management in developing methods and techniques for patient care.
• Communicate, build consensus, and guide team members toward achieving department objectives.
• Promote and maintain high-quality patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Create a professional work environment that encourages respect, engagement, accountability, and optimal patient outcomes.
• Promote appreciative inquiry and evidence-based, ethical, and compassionate practice.
• Provide direction and guidance to patient care unit team members during assigned shift.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide input into hiring, promotions, and corrective actions.
• Serve as a role model for standards of professional practice (clinical, educational, and leadership).
• Educate team members in new and existing department procedures and systems.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

Experience:

• 4-6 years of nursing experience required.
• 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
• Specialized certifications, as needed.
