Registered Nurse - Ambulatory; Cardiology- Part time

About This Role

The Registered Nurse - Ambulatory in Cardiology will provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and patient education.

• Location: Manhasset, NY
• Facility: Northwell Health
• Schedule: Part-time, Day shift

• Assess the patient's physiologic health status through interviews and comprehensive health assessments.
• Evaluate the patient's psychosocial health status and identify cultural/ethnic requirements.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes and establish individualized patient goals.
• Formulate and document the plan of care, coordinating with health team members.
• Implement the plan of care, ensuring safety precautions and effective communication.
• Evaluate care provided and document effectiveness for performance improvement.
• Collaborate with care team members and assist during treatments and diagnostic procedures.
• Provide wound care and administer medications correctly and safely.
• Participate in patient and family education, ensuring understanding of conditions and care plans.
• Perform related duties as required.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within five years of job entry date

Experience:

• Previous experience in Cardiology/Telemetry highly preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required
• Specialized certifications as needed
