Job Summary:

Provide preoperative nursing care to patients scheduled for surgical procedures. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and preparation through comprehensive assessments and interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health history and current condition prior to surgery.
• Educate patients about preoperative procedures and expectations.
• Prepare patients physically and psychologically for surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor and document patient responses to preoperative interventions.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Proven experience in perioperative or preoperative nursing preferred.
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures, safety standards, and patient care protocols.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Certification in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) preferred.
