The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides routine nursing care to residents, promoting independence, dignity, and improved quality of life.
Responsibilities include preparing residents for meals, assisting with feeding, maintaining personal hygiene, and ensuring comfort. CNAs help with lifting, turning, transferring, and positioning residents safely. They monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, and promptly report any changes in residents' conditions.
Qualified candidates must hold an active CNA certification in New York State, demonstrate compassion, enthusiasm, and dedication to quality care.
Essential skills include excellent communication, organization, and customer service, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility, patience, and a cheerful disposition are valued traits.
