Role Description

The Clinical and Regulatory Education Specialist is an on-site role located in New York, United States. This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and updating clinical and regulatory education programs for post-acute care staff, including training on coding, OASIS, plan of care, and compliance with state and federal regulations. The specialist conducts needs assessments, designs curricula and training materials, and provides group and one-on-one instruction to clinical teams and leadership.

Daily activities include researching regulatory changes, translating complex requirements into practical guidance, supporting QAPI and CQI initiatives, and collaborating with consulting teams to address educational gaps identified during audits and operational assessments. The role also includes maintaining documentation of training activities, tracking outcomes, and recommending improvements to education strategies.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Clinical Education and Training, with experience designing and delivering programs for post-acute or home health settings.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, with the ability to interpret and apply clinical standards to educational content and consulting activities.
  • Candidates should possess Research skills to monitor regulatory updates, analyze clinical guidelines, and incorporate evidence-based practices into training materials.
  • Experience in post-acute care (e.g., home health, LHCSA, CHHA, SADC) and familiarity with coding, OASIS, and QAPI/CQI processes are highly beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse clinical and administrative audiences.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, allied health, public health, or a related clinical field; advanced degree or relevant certifications in clinical education, compliance, or quality improvement are a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site in New York, United States, and adapt educational approaches to client-specific needs and regulatory requirements.
