Location: New York
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified(PMHNP-BC)
Compensation: Fee for service
Compensation will reflect experience and training.
Responsibilities for PMHNP-BC:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions
- Create individualized treatment plans
- Provide psychotherapy using CBT and DBT techniques
- Manage and prescribe psychiatric medications
- Educate patients and families on mental health and medication
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Handle crisis intervention and patient stabilization
- Complete and lock EMR documentation within 48 hours
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner
- Completed 3600 hours for independent practice or supervision agreement
- Licensed in NY as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Board certified and holds an active NY DEA license
