Position SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a multidisciplinary pain management team. The provider will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions using evidence-based approaches focused on improving patient function and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic reviews.
- Diagnose acute and chronic pain conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including non-opioid analgesics and adjunctive therapies.
- Perform or assist with interventional pain procedures, as permitted by credentials and scope of practice.
- Educate patients regarding pain management strategies, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Refer patients to appropriate specialists when clinically indicated.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards.
- Stay current with developments, treatment options, and evidence-based practices in pain management.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing for NP candidates, or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active, unrestricted New York NP or PA-C license.
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Current BLS or ACLS certification.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Board certification, such as FNP, AGNP, PMHNP, or PA-C.
- At least 1 year of pain management experience.
- Experience with interventional pain procedures.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Annual Compensation: $140,000–$160,000
- Hourly Compensation: $65–$85 per hour
