RN Unit Manager
at The Crown Heights Center, you will be an essential part of our healthcare team, working to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for our residents.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced
RN Unit Manager
to join the team at Crown Heights Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of your designated unit, ensuring that resident care is delivered according to established standards and that staff are supported in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that may affect desired resident outcomes.
  • Review and ensure that daily resident care needs are met and that appropriate care is delivered.
  • Address concerns from residents and staff to promote high-quality care.
  • Supervise and guide staff nurses and CNAs to ensure the completion and quality of their duties.
  • Make rounds of resident rooms to observe and assess the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
  • Review physician orders and care plans to ensure they are followed correctly.
  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary, including administering treatments and medications.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Remain flexible and prepared to handle any services or assignments within the RN scope of practice.
Qualifications
  • Valid, current RN license.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to long-term care.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required.
Preferred
  • Previous experience with Point Click Care  software.
