This role focuses on providing care for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients within a supportive and reputable state-run long-term care center. Key responsibilities of the Long-Term Care Nurse include:

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Perform medication passes accurately and safely
Monitor and report changes in resident condition
Complete timely and accurate documentation
Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies
Supervise CNAs on assigned units

Requirements of the Long-Term Care Nurse include:

Active NY State Nursing License – no license hits allowed
Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care experience
BLS certification
Ability to pass a medication administration test and clinical observation
